I work in Arlington and like to try different places. Today I found a new go-to! The food here is so good. I had a lunch plate with kofta, lentil soup and baba ganoush, which is the best I've had. Also had a pot of tea with fresh mint. I will be back!

An excellent experience. The food was amazing (and I saw the reviews before), my whole family was happy with it and we all ate well. Everyone had a different favorite, but it was a struggle because everything was truly delicious. I don't even know what to highlight in this review... I can say that the owner seems to be very happy to feed people well and seems to be proud of his food. For full disclosure, he gifted us a salad (also delicious, of course) but more than deepening my appreciation and desire to write this review, I would not have changed my review. If you came to this location before, there was a different restaurant (more buffet style) it wasn't bad, but no comparison.

I visited Cairo Gyro & Grill and asked the waitress what she personally liked. She kindly gave me her suggestions and I ordered what she recommended. She recommended the Arabic shawarma sandwich. It was so delicious! The sauce it has on it is mouthwatering and the meat was cooked so well! Make sure you take advantage of the banana peppers and tomatoes they give you on the side! She also recommended Tabbouleh, I personally did not enjoy the Tabbouleh but I think that just comes down to preference, if you like a nice salad before your meal I would order it! I also saw a couple people come in and order their mint and lemon drink, so I went ahead and ordered that also! It went perfectly with my meal and it was so refreshing after coming inside from the humid and hot outside. After my meal the chef came over and asked how I enjoyed it and I expressed I liked it very much! The price was also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend eating here!

We drove over two hours to try this place and we were NOT disappointed! We tried the chicken shawarma, the Arabian shawarma, and the beef arayes and all were amazing!! The lentil side soup was delicious, the side salad was great, and fries were crispy. All the sauces were so fresh and went well with every dish. The mint lemonade was fresh and tasty, but for me it was a little bit too minty. I’m glad I tried it but I probably wouldn’t order it again. Tina, our waitress, was very friendly and attentive and made the experience that much better. We will definitely be back!

Knew from the reviews it would be good, but it exceeded my expectations! It was AMAZING! Service was awesome. The place is clean and the food is excellent. We were gifted a free salad by the owner while waiting for our to-go order because it was our first time coming. Will definitely be back! Also, try the mint lemonade. It has fresh ingredients and it was probably one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.
